Happy new year!

New fiscal year, that is! Well, it's not here yet, but I can't wait for this week to be over. Since we do work on production, I'm required to have all my production for the year done by the end of the fiscal year, which means...monday. I'm not very far behind, but it's still a hassle trying to get all my ducks in a row, as they say.

Amanda and I purchased a new digital camera so we'd have use of it on our honeymoon and for her parents visit next weekend. We both had the ol' "point and shoots" of digital cameras, but I wanted some more sophisticated for better quality pictures and more contorl over the photos. We went with the Nikon D40, which is a D-SLR (means digital single lens reflex)...basically the bigger cameras with swappable lenses. No more are the days of waiting 10 seconds to be able to take photos from the time you turn it on, or only being able to take 3 photos a minute, because of the lousy save time. We can turn the camera on in .18 seconds and I can take 2.5 photos per second, not minute. It's pretty great.

I'm hoping to start a nice online photo album in the coming weeks, now that we have this great camera, and the most beautiful season change of them all. We'll have great pics of her parents trip, and hopefully we'll have time to go out and about and just explore the wonder that is northern virginia.

:)

That's our big news! Not much else has happened. Our engagement announcment premiered in the newspaper a couple days ago! We're getting closer to the wedding date every day! Not too long now. I'll post a link next time, if I think of it.

Until then, I must go....there's lots of work to do! :)
