Wednesday,

Well well, the week is in full swing! The long weekend was so amazing, being back at work stinks.

Not much else has happened. I bought a bunch of food at the grociery store and have been cooking my food. It's way better than eatting out. I actually enjoy cooking, but I'm usually so tired at night. I can't wait for amanda to move here and we can cook together. It's fun when you have someone to cook with, and when you make food and are responible for feeding someone else, makes the being tired part a little easier to deal with.

Not much else is going on, just waiting for the next weekend. I understand the phrase, "I live for the weekend" so much better now. It's rough, and the early mornings are tough, but the days go by fast, and work isn't bad, not really...:)

I'm still enjoying the job after the 4th month or so, and I think it'll only get better as I learn more. Once the benefits start coming in...pay raises, leave increases, bonuses, overtime, comp time, all the great things that come with promotion! :) Well, once they start coming in, then I'll be even happier!!!!

That's all, I just felt I should write something. Work is good, I'm eatting, feeling healthy, and I miss family, friends and amanda. Keep in touch! :)

Back from MI!!

Well well well! I've returned from Michigan! It was absolutely wonderful. Being a very abbreviated trip, I wanted to stay longer, but the time I did spend there was well spent. I absolutely adore amanda, she made my entire trip a joy.

Our first night together we went out to dinner to one of my favorite restaurants, Old Chicago. It was super good, I ordered what I had been craving and was happy with it. Amanda ordered something new and she loved it as well. We were both very happy with our food.

The next day we had a very wonderful day as well. Amanda had class and a test, so that stunk, but I just hung around East Lansing while she was doing that, then we had a wonderful day. We had lunch at one of my favorite fast food restaurants, Potbelly Sandwich Works, or...Potbellys. It's delicious. Amazing. We have them in DC and they just built one in EL, and it appears to be a big hit. After that we had some delicious ice cream from Coldstone Creameries. Delicious. Wonderful. Then Amanda took me to a movie for my birthday celebration. The movie was amazing. We saw "The Departed"...it was simply awesome.

Saturday we went to Saginaw to see Mom and Grandpa. That was real fun. We got to visit and had a wonderful dinner and a chinese buffet restaurant. Delicious.

Sunday I flew home, and just hung out, it's nice having today off as holiday. I love working for the government.

The only downside to the trip was my health. The day before I left I came down with a cold, and the flying only made it worse. My head felt like it was going to explode the whole flight up to MI, and then my ears were so congested, I couldn't hear anything for a long time. The flight home went better, I fought off the pressure by chewing and yawning and stretching my face...it was actually quite painful when I'd yawn, but I could feel it working and stopping the plugging of my ears. Kinda gross, kinda painful, but I'm really happy I did that now. My ears are all better and I'm feeling better. Wonderful.

It's a beautiful day outside today, so I'm going to go start running my errands and shopping and all the things I wanted to get done today. I've paid all my bills and started cleaning my room, but I'd rather be out of the house while I can. Work comes tomorrow, but luckily it's only a 4 day week!

Until next time!

:)
