Trip to MI!

Hello there, friends and family!

I'm not going to write much because there's a large T-Storm outside and I dont' want to lose all I write from a power outage.

Work is going great, I can't complain. I'm still getting up at 5:00am and getting to work at 6:30am. I like it though, it gives me an extra hour at night!

I'm coming back to MI in about...well, it's a week. I'll be there next thursday night, in Detroit, after work, then I'll be flying back to DC on Sunday. Someone wonderful from lansing will be there to pick me up, either amanda, or her family, and I'll try to make it up to Saginaw. Not thursday night, but rather friday evening or saturday during the day. Nothing big, a quick visit probably as usual. It'll be nice come Christmas when I'll be back in MI for almost two whole weeks. I miss it a lot, all the people and the fun times.

That's all from this end...I still didn't get the zoo pics, but will someday, I promise.

Have a wonderful and safe weekend.

DC fun!

Hello hello avid readers :) It's a wonderful sunday, and I've had a very nice weekend, so I have things to share.

Yesterday, Nick and I went to DC since he hadn't done anything in DC yet. We ate lunch and drove around a little bit, then went to the zoo. I had already been there twice before, but I had yet to see the panda exhibit. It was always closed when I was there before, so I was hoping yesterday would be the day, and...it was! I got some nice close up pics of the young panda, such a cute little baby. I don't have the pics on my computer yet, but I will post them once I do. Most the animals were active and we saw almost the entire zoo! It was a blast.

Then last night, Neal and Jon and I went to the bar to watch the MSU vs ND football game, and then after that they were broadcasting the Ultimate Fighting Championship match. We got to watch it for free, and it was super close to home. They had real good wings. It was pretty fun! That's about it then...today is a lazy day, tomorrow is work. Talk to you soon! :)

Oh geez,

Well, so, it's been roughly a month since I last wrote. How terrible is that? Pretty terrible, my sincere apologies.

It's hard for me to think about things to write in this blog of my life, when nothing ever happens. I go to work, I come home, eat dinner, shower, talk to amanda for as long as possible, go to sleep and repeat.

Ok, ok, I take that back, it's not like I have ZERO things to say, so I'm writing now to say them :)

At work, since we're on "production" now, where we basically have freedom to work on our own, I have the ability to choose when I come to work, as long as it's between 6:30am and 9:30am, and then I work my solid 9 hours from the time I arrive. I'm already used to waking up early, so I have been toying with coming in as early as possible. This has only just started on monday, so for the last two days I've been getting to work at 6:30am instead of 7:30. I have to admit, I'm loving it already. I'm not generally a morning person, but I like that I get there, it's quiet, still dark, and I can get some work done before any of my other colleagues arrive. We'll see how long it lasts! :)

My birthday went by without anything special. I was away from family and amanda, so that stunk, but it was ok for the most part. Nothing special about turning 22.

The only other thing is my buddy Nick from MSU moved down to Alexandria, VA last week, he started at the patent office Monday. I think he likes it here so far...ok, yeah he likes it here, I just asked him :) Anyway, I'll try hard to write more, but I lose track of the time. Nick is here now so I'm going to tend to my company, but I'll try :)

Love you all,

John
